At a loved home, interior design is about discovering what matters to you and then reflecting your ideas and values back into your home.

Tamsin Chubb is an interiors consultant, with over ten years’ experience in luxury interiors and furniture retail, including senior roles at David Linley and Fired Earth.

Her approach combines her professional experience and knowledge with a very personal take on each project, as she believes that stronger connections between ourselves and our surroundings can bring greater happiness into our lives and enable ideas to flourish.

She starts from the premise that home is a sanctuary, somewhere to feel safe and secure. From this, she works with clients to create a new beginning – combining possessions and keepsakes from their past with new elements, for how they live today.

Tamsin works across the South East; covering Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London, from a base in Brighton.

APPROACH

There are two distinct phases to Tamsin’s approach to each project: discovery and design.

Discovery
The process begins with an initial consultation meeting, for which there is no charge, to discuss the client’s requirements and budget. Tamsin then provides a guide to the number and type of further consultations needed, determined by the scale of the project.

Over the course of several in-depth consultations, which can include tailor-made design tours and purchasing trips, she and the client uncover and explore hidden or forgotten aspects of their lives and relationships with their home. This phase concludes with a design presentation.

Design
With a new-found understanding of the client’s lifestyle and wishes, Tamsin then creates an integrated design scheme, providing final designs, drawings and estimates of costs for each element of the project. This may include colour consultation, sourcing furniture and artworks, or complete interior design.
